Responsibilities

- Assist customers in selecting eyewear that fits their style, needs, and prescription requirements
- Conduct thorough eye exams and interpret prescriptions using medical terminology accurately
- Measure and fit frames precisely, ensuring comfort and optimal vision correction
- Provide detailed explanations of lens options, coatings, and optical features to educate clients
- Manage laboratory processes for lens cutting, fitting, and adjustments to ensure quality standards
- Maintain accurate records of patient prescriptions, sales transactions, and inventory




- Support retail sales efforts by promoting eyewear products and accessories to meet sales targets

Requirements

- Knowledge of medical terminology related to eye health and vision care
- Laboratory experience with lens fitting, edging, or related optical procedures preferred
- Prior optical experience in a retail or clinical setting is highly desirable
- Strong sales skills with a focus on delivering excellent customer service in a retail workplace
- Familiarity with Epic or comparable electronic health record systems is a plus
- Experience in retail management or supervising teams is advantageous but not mandatory
- Ability to communicate clearly, listen actively, and build rapport with diverse customers
