Trailside Eye Care is an independently owned optometry practice in Fergus, Ontario, and we’re looking for a recent team member to join us as we continue to grow.

We’re a small, established practice where patients know us by name, we take the time to get to know them, and the goal has always been to provide genuinely personalized care. We’re looking for someone who enjoys working with people, takes pride in doing things well, and wants to become part of a close-knit team.

We’re looking for someone who is available to work across our full Monday–Friday schedule.

We are looking for someone who is comfortable with optical dispensing, frame styling, lens recommendations, measurements, adjustments and patient care. However, we are very open to someone with strong customer service and healthcare experience who is interested in learning the optical side of the practice. For the right person, we’re happy to provide training and help you develop your skills within the practice.

Your role would include a mix of:

- Helping patients select frames and lenses that suit their needs, lifestyle and personal style
- Optical measurements, dispensing and adjustments,



as appropriate to your training and registration
- Pretesting and other clinical support
- Contact lens support
- Greeting patients, answering phones and assisting with scheduling and general patient care
- Keeping the optical area organized, welcoming and running smoothly
- Supporting the team wherever needed in a busy, growing independent practice

We’re located in a busy medical building alongside other healthcare providers, with strong walk-by and referral traffic. We see a mix of families, working adults and seniors, and our patient base is continuing to grow. Most importantly, we’re looking for the right person, not just the right résumé. Someone who is warm, dependable, comfortable taking initiative, enjoys working as part of a team, and genuinely cares about the experience our patients have when they walk through the door.
