We are hiring 1 Part-Time/Full-Time Temporary Retail Sales Associate for the 1051 Baxter Rd. branch of The Scottish and Irish Store.

The term duration is from October - End of December 2025. Hours are approximately 25 - 37 hours per week, and we are looking for a candidate with weekday and weekend availability.

Overview:

You are responsible for generating sales by providing the customer with an exceptional shopping experience. Maximize sales by delivering efficient, friendly, and knowledgeable service and ensuring the store is neat, clean, and well-presented at all times.

Responsibilities:

- Develop positive customer relationships through friendly greetings and excellent customer service
- Help customers with questions, problems, and complaints in person, via telephone, and email.
- Answer questions about the origin of each product sold, including the type of materials, locations of manufacturing, and workmanship involved by being knowledgeable on all products offered.
- Process customer payments using point of sale.
- Stock shelves and organize product displays.
- Merchandising tasks, such as receiving shipments, price markdowns, fitting room upkeep.
- Ensure the store is visually appealing, contributing to company standards through product presentation, replenishment, store housekeeping, store maintenance, and visual displays.
- Be a team player and contribute to the stores’ success.




- Maintain opening and closing procedures.

Qualifications:

- Knowledge of Scottish, Irish, and English Culture is an asset.
- High School Diploma is required.
- Strong English verbal and written communication skills; French is an asset.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Previous retail experience is an asset.

Job Types: Temporary, Part-time Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 25 - 37 hours per week
