Job Overview

We are looking for a reliable and skilled Maintenance Technician to maintain and repair our restaurant locations in Nanaimo. The ideal candidate has experience with general maintenance, HVAC, electrical troubleshooting, and plumbing.

This is a part-time, on-call position with flexible hours based on maintenance needs.

Key Responsibilities

- Perform general maintenance and repairs at restaurant locations.
- Troubleshoot HVAC, heating, cooling, and ventilation systems.
- Handle plumbing repairs, including leaks, faucets, toilets, and drains.
- Troubleshoot lighting and minor electrical issues within applicable qualifications.
- Complete general repairs, painting, carpentry, and other handyman tasks.
- Inspect and maintain restaurant facilities and equipment.
- Respond to maintenance requests and coordinate specialized contractors when needed.
- Follow applicable safety regulations and procedures.

Requirements
- Experience in maintenance, HVAC, plumbing, electrical, or general repairs.




- Ability to troubleshoot problems and work independently.
- Reliable, flexible, and available for on-call work.
- Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation preferred.
- Relevant trade certifications or qualifications are an asset.

All regulated work must be performed in accordance with applicable licensing and safety requirements.

Compensation and Schedule

- $28.00 per hour.
- Part time, on-call schedule.
- Hours vary according to maintenance needs.
- Work across multiple restaurant locations in Nanaimo.
