Job Summary

Here at Hanna Pharmasave, we are seeking a part-time Pharmacist to cover a parental leave with the option of continual employment, starting in December. Schedule can be discussed based on your availability and personal preference. As a small, independent pharmacy, we focus on building strong relationships with patients and providing the personalized service that makes a community pharmacy feel welcoming and keeps patients coming back. We're a NO methadone, NO compounding pharmacy.

Duties

- Provide comprehensive medication counseling to patients, explaining proper usage, potential side effects, and answering questions
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions using medical terminology expertise
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to clarify prescriptions or suggest alternative therapies when necessary
- Order medications as needed,



and ensure proper storage conditions are maintained
- Support patient care initiatives
- Help in smooth dispensary operation through answering phone calls and entering data into computer

Skills

- Proficient with computers and Kroll (required)
- No minimum years of experience required, but this is a highly autonomous role.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively educate patients and collaborate with healthcare teams
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently while maintaining attention to detail
- Compassionate approach to patient care with a focus on safety and confidentiality

Current pharmacy hours:

- Monday to Friday: 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
- Saturday: 9:00 a.m. – 2:00 p.m.
- Sundays: Closed

Pay: $50.00-$55.00 per hour
