We are looking for a reliable Part time Yard Shunter to work 2 to 3 days a week, Monday through Friday.Working a comfortable afternoon shift (1:00 PM to 9:00 PM), you will play a crucial role in keeping our Hamilton yard organized and our local freight moving smoothly—with your weekends completely free.Key Responsibilities

- Yard Management: Safely and efficiently move empty and loaded trailers between warehouse dock doors and designated yard parking slots.
- Team Coordination: Work alongside our dispatch and warehouse teams to prioritize trailer placement based on evening shipping schedules.
- Safety & Inspection:



Perform routine pre-trip inspections on the shunt truck and ensure trailers are safely secured at dock doors.
- Record Keeping: Keep simple, accurate track of trailer numbers and movements.

Qualifications & Skills

- Licensing: Valid AZ or DZ Driver’s License with a Z (Air Brake) Endorsement.
- Experience: Strong backing and trailer-handling skills. Years of road experience are highly valued here!
- Schedule: Ability to work 2 to 3 afternoon shifts (1:00 PM to 9:00 PM) during the Monday to Friday work week.
- Track Record: A clean commercial driver's abstract.
- Physical Readiness: Comfortable climbing in and out of the shunt cab and working outdoors in various weather conditions.
