Job Overview

We are seeking an energetic and detail-oriented Parts Advisor specializing in Heavy Diesel equipment to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will serve as a key point of contact at the back counter, providing exceptional customer service and technical support for heavy diesel parts. Your expertise will ensure smooth operations in parts procurement, inventory management, and supply chain coordination.

Duties

- Assist customers and technicians at the back counter by accurately identifying and sourcing heavy diesel parts using Fullbay software.
- Manage data entry for parts orders, inventory updates, and procurement documentation to ensure precise record-keeping.
- Coordinate purchasing activities, including sourcing parts from suppliers, negotiating prices, and ensuring timely delivery to meet demand planning needs.
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge, schematics, technical data and information for mechanical components related to heavy diesel engines and equipment to provide expert advice.




- Utilize forklift for inventory movement and to track parts availability efficiently.
- Support supply chain operations by sourcing quality parts, managing procurement processes, and optimizing inventory levels through demand planning insights.
- Deliver outstanding customer service by addressing inquiries professionally, resolving issues promptly, and fostering long-term relationships with clients and vendors.
- Perform parts runs, pick ups, returns, and deliveries.
- Administrate parts returns, refunds, and warranty services.
- Conduct shipping and receiving duties as needed.

Requirements

- Proven experience with heavy diesel equipment or related automotive sectors.
- Strong data entry skills with attention to detail for accurate record-keeping and order processing.
- Knowledge of procurement processes, sourcing strategies, and negotiation techniques to secure the best parts at optimal prices.
- Mechanical knowledge of heavy diesel engines, chassis, and related machinery is essential.
- Experience operating forklifts safely; certification preferred.
- Proficiency with computers, a variety of software suites, and supply chain management practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly and professionally.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple priorities effectively.
- Class 5 or better driver's license preferred.
- Ability to lift 50 lbs independently.
