Personnel Officer (Prevention Health & Safety)

? Location: Montreal, Quebec

? Status: Permanent, Full-Time (35 hours/week)

? Salary: $30.59 to $52.43/hour

? Posting Period: October 7 to October 21, 2026

Key Responsibilities

- Coordinate occupational health and safety programs and initiatives
- Conduct workplace risk assessments and preventive inspections
- Analyze workplace accidents and recommend corrective measures
- Develop and implement prevention and employee wellness programs
- Advise managers and employees on OHS legislation, policies, and best practices
- Monitor health and safety performance indicators and trends
- Participate in and support workplace health and safety committees
- Deliver training and awareness sessions across the organization

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Administration, Industrial Relations, or a related field
- Occupational hygiene training required
- Occupational Health & Safety certification is considered an asset
- Minimum three (3)



years of experience in occupational hygiene

- Ability to build partnerships and collaborate effectively
- Knowledge of occupational health and safety legislation and regulations

Languages

- Fluency in English and French
- Knowledge of Cree is an asset
