Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Pharmacy Assistant to support our Pharmasave pharmacy team in delivering exceptional patient care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical terminology and pharmacy operations, with experience in a community pharmacy setting. As a Pharmacy Assistant, you will play a vital role in assisting pharmacists with daily tasks, ensuring accurate medication dispensing, and providing compassionate support to patients.

Duties

- Assist pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications accurately according to prescriptions.
- Maintain organized medication inventory, ensuring stock levels are adequate and expired medicines are properly disposed of.
- Provide excellent patient care by answering questions, offering medication guidance, and supporting medication administration procedures.
- Ensure compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and medical regulations related to pharmacy operations.
- Use medical terminology effectively to communicate with healthcare professionals and patients.




- Support the documentation process by maintaining exact records of prescriptions, medication logs, and inventory transactions.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to facilitate smooth medication distribution and patient support services.

Experience

- Prior experience working in community pharmacy is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of medical terminology relevant to pharmacy practice.
- Proven ability to provide patient care with professionalism and empathy.
- Knowledge of medication administration procedures and safety protocols is preferred.
- Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in managing inventory and documentation.
- Effective communication skills to interact confidently with patients, healthcare providers, and team members.
