Role Description The Pizza Cook role at Pizza Depot in Ottawa, ON is a part-time, in office position focused on preparing high-quality pizzas and related menu items. Day-to-day tasks include preparing dough and toppings, cooking pizzas and wings to company standards, and ensuring food safety and cleanliness in the kitchen.

The Pizza

Cook will follow standardized recipes and portion guidelines, maintain organized workstations, and assist with stocking ingredients.



This role also supports front-of-house staff by coordinating orders efficiently and occasionally interacting with customers to ensure a positive experience. Evening, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required based on business needs.

Qualifications

Strong skills in food preparation and cooking, with attention to freshness and consistency.

Experience or comfort working in food & beverage environments, ideally in quick-service or take-out settings.

Customer service and communication skills to support a welcoming, efficient guest experience.

Ability to follow food safety standards, hygiene practices, and health regulations.

Capacity to work in a fast-paced setting, stand for extended periods, and lift moderate weights.

Reliability in punctuality, teamwork, and following company procedures and recipes.

Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is an asset but not required; on-the-job training is provided.

Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 22.0 per week
