We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Prep Cook / Cafe Assist to join our vibrant food service team. Duties

- Assist in food preparation by chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients according to established recipes and standards.
- Support the cooking process by preparing ingredients for menu items, ensuring timely and accurate meal assembly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and prep areas in compliance with food safety regulations.
- Handle food safely by following proper hygiene practices, storage procedures, and sanitation protocols.
- Serve customers at the counter or assist with cafe service, providing friendly and efficient customer interactions.
- Restock supplies, ingredients, and utensils as needed to ensure smooth cafe operations throughout shifts.




- Follow all health and safety guidelines to prevent cross-contamination and ensure a protected working environment.

Skills

- Proven experience in food handling, meal preparation, or kitchen support within a restaurant or cafe setting.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices essential for maintaining hygiene.
- Ability to perform basic cooking tasks with attention to detail and consistency.
- Excellent serving skills with a focus on delivering positive customer experiences.
- Familiarity with food industry terminology, including ingredient handling and kitchen equipment use.
- Good organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently during busy periods.
