Huawei Canada is offering an 8-12 month co-op for an Electrical Engineering/Optics student. You will work on next generation short-reach and data center interconnect networks, focusing on IMDD transmission over Hollow-Core Fiber, design and simulation, and signaling methods.

Ideal candidates are enrolled in a Master’s/PhD in Electrical Engineering, with a solid background in non-coherent optical transmission, familiarity with Matlab and Python, and solid teamwork skills. Publications are a plus.
