Maintenance Technician (Term) - Dartmouth, NS

Killam Apartment REIT, based in Halifax, Nova Scotia, is one of Canadas largest residential real estate investment trusts, owning, operating, and developing a $5.3 billion portfolio of apartments and manufactured home communities. Killams strategy to drive value and profitability focuses on three priorities: (1) increase earnings from the existing portfolio; (2) expand the portfolio and diversify geographically through accretive acquisitions, targeting newer properties and dispositions of non-core assets; and (3) develop high-quality properties in its core markets.

We are currently searching for a Maintenance Technician to join our team in Dartmouth, NS for a 2-month term (ending on or before December 31, 2026).

What you will do

• Fit and install trim items, such as doors, stairs, molding and hardware;


• Maintain, repair and renovate residences;


• General maintenance and painting;


• Knowledge of plumbing, minor electrical, carpentry, etc.;


• All other duties as required.

What you will bring

• 3-5 years experience in a similar role;


• Ability to work as part of a team, and also under minimal supervision;


• Effective, proven skills and experience;


• Renovations experience is considered an asset;


• Plumbing, electrical, or HVAC experience is considered an asset;


• Must have a valid drivers license and access to a reliable vehicle.
