Squamish
Off Grid Customs builds high-end composite camper bodies for trucks and expedition vehicles. We manufacture our camper bodies in-house at our production facility in Squamish.
We’re looking for a Production Prep Technician to join our team.
This role is focused on preparing composite panels and components before they move into assembly. It is hands-on, physical work where accuracy and attention to detail matter.
The Role
Day-to-day work includes:
- Measuring and marking composite panels and components
- Cutting and trimming materials accurately
- Sanding and preparing surfaces for assembly
- Checking panels for square, dimensions, and overall quality
- Quality control before parts move to the next stage of production
- Loading, unloading, organizing, and moving panels and materials
- Using hand tools, power tools, measuring equipment, and shop equipment
- Keeping the prep area clean and organized
Our composite panels can be large, awkward, and heavy, so you need to be comfortable with physical work and handling large materials safely.
What We’re Looking For
Construction, carpentry, fabrication, or similar hands-on experience would be ideal.
You should be
- Comfortable reading a tape measure and working accurately
- Confident using common hand and power tools
- Detail-oriented and able to spot problems before they move down the production line
- Physically capable of lifting and maneuvering large panels and materials
- Reliable and consistent
- Comfortable working independently once trained
- Organized and able to follow established processes
Experience working with composite materials is not required — we can teach you our processes. Pay & Advancement
- $28–$30/hr depending on experience and ability
- Full-time, stable, year-round work
- Extended health and dental perks
- Opportunities to take on additional responsibility as the company grows
- We promote from within whenever possible
This would be a great fit for someone coming from construction, carpentry, cabinetmaking, fabrication, manufacturing, or another hands-on trade who wants consistent indoor shop work.
