Elmira Machine Industries is seeking a Pump Assembler to join our growing team. Reporting to the Production Supervisor, the successful candidate will be responsible for assembling, testing, painting, and refurbishing cast iron vacuum pumps while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Responsibilities

- Assemble cast iron vacuum pumps according to specifications and work instructions
- Test completed pumps to ensure proper performance and quality standards are met
- Troubleshoot and correct assembly-related issues
- Paint vacuum pumps using a pressure pot paint system
- Rebuild and refurbish customer-owned pumps
- Perform visual inspections and quality checks of completed work
- Maintain a clean, organized and safe work area
- Work collaboratively with Machine Operators and other production team members
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures
- Perform other production-related duties as assigned

Qualifications





- Previous mechanical assembly experience preferred
- Strong mechanical aptitude
- Comfortable working with hand and power tools
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and punctuality
- Ability to lift up to 50lbs and perform physically demanding work
- Manufacturing experience considered an asset

Pay

$22.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule

- Day shift
- Monday to Thursday: 7:00 am – 4:30 pm
- Friday: 7:00 am – 3:00 pm
- 44-hour work week

Ability to Commute/Relocate

- Elmira, ON N3B 2A1: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)

Experience

- Mechanical assembly: 1 year (preferred)
- Manufacturing: 1 year (preferred)
