About the Role

We are looking for a Production Supervisor to lead plant production teams safely and efficiently, ensuring forecasted quantities and quality of raw mix, clinker, and cement are met in compliance with environmental guidelines.

Key Responsibilities

1. Demonstrate safety leadership, reinforce safety messages, and ensure full compliance with Health & Safety policies and procedures.
2. Protect plant equipment, maximize its utilization and reliability, and produce forecasted quantities and quality with minimal non-compliance.
3. Ensure environmental guidelines are followed.
4. Manage labour during major turnarounds and ensure lab, control room, and field control parameters are met.
5. Lead problem-solving with the team on mechanical, electrical, process, quality, productivity, or manpower issues.
6. Represent Production in coordination with other departments and promote strong communication with Maintenance.
7. Lead the production teams, ensuring transparent communication, cooperation, and teamwork.

Report on shift activities, safety meetings, and production levels; cover for the Production Manager; complete weekly payroll for production teams.
9. Administer the Collective Agreement fairly and consistently, provide grievance counseling, and coordinate employee training.
10. Maintain productivity, housekeeping, and quality standards, and achieve personal and departmental goals.

Key Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree, College diploma, or Technologist certification, preferably in Mechanical, Chemical, or Production.
2. 2 years of cement manufacturing experience OR 5 years of production supervisory experience in heavy industry.
3. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Suite, and experience with SAP.
4. Cement manufacturing knowledge is an asset.
5. Commitment to health, safety, and environmental policies, with the ability to promote a safety culture.
6. Willingness to travel up to 10%.
