Donna Cona Inc. is seeking a Programmer Analyst to support an ongoing technology initiative with our key government client.

This fully remote contract prospect is well suited to a developer with approximately 3–5 years of experience in software development, particularly object-oriented programming and SQL.

Experience with Java is preferred, while previous exposure to Oracle PeopleSoft would be considered an asset but is not mandatory.

Key Responsibilities The successful candidate is expected to support application development and maintenance activities, which may include:

- Developing, modifying and maintaining application functionality using object-oriented programming languages, preferably Java.

- Writing, testing and optimizing SQL queries to support application functionality and data processing.

- Analyzing technical requirements and contributing to application design and development.

- Investigating and resolving application defects and technical issues.

- Supporting application testing, troubleshooting and implementation activities.

- Collaborating with developers, analysts and other technical stakeholders to deliver application enhancements.

- Preparing and maintaining technical documentation as required.

Required Qualifications

- Approximately 3–5 years of professional software development experience.





- Hands-on experience with an object-oriented programming language, preferably Java.

- Practical experience writing and working with SQL.

- Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a remote development environment.

- Must reside in Canada and be eligible to obtain Government of Canada Reliability Status.

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience with Java-based enterprise applications.

- Previous development or technical support experience with Oracle PeopleSoft.

- Experience supporting enterprise applications in complex organizational environments.

- Previous experience working on Government of Canada technology initiatives.
