Established in 1998 in Winnipeg, Capitol Steel Corp. specializes in bridge construction projects.
We are currently looking to hire a Project Manager to assist with the management of bridge design-build projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in the planning and scheduling of bridge construction projects;
- Communicate effectively with the client, the designer and contractors;
- Interpret project requirements and develop technical procedures;
- Implement quality and safety plans, and ensure compliance at site;
- Coordinate the procurement of critical materials and equipment;
- Sequence and monitor the work performed at site, and provide technical guidance;
- Maintain control of documents, drawing revisions, change orders, RFI’s and NCR’s;
- Prepare progress updates and assist with cost tracking;
- Conduct site inspections and prepare reports;
- Performs miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
Required Skills and Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering; or diploma in engineering technology; or several years experience in the construction industry;
- Bridge experience and/or structural steel experience would be an asset;
- Robust work ethic, organization skills and communication skills;
- Ability to work effectively under pressure, with tight deadlines;
- Available and willing to work overtime when required;
- Ability to work in Swan River for weeks at a time.
