WANTED: PUB SUPERVISOR/SERVER

Bottlescrew Bill’s Pub is looking for an experienced hospitality professional who’s ready to take the next step in their career.

We’re looking for a Supervisor who loves leading a team—but isn’t ready to give up the floor and guest service experience.

This is a hands-on leadership position in one of Calgary’s best-known independent pubs. You’ll have the prospect to lead shifts, support and develop our team, make decisions, solve problems, and help keep the operation running at its best—while still keeping some serving shifts.

If you’re currently an experienced Supervisor, Shift Leader, Floor Manager who wants to also serve regularly, we’d love to meet you and see if you’d be the right fit for our team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a Supervisor, you’ll be an important part of the leadership team. You’ll help ensure each shift runs smoothly while being a visible, hands-on presence on the floor.

Your responsibilities will include

- Leading and supporting the team on Wednesdays and Saturdays
- Helping maintain our standards for service, cleanliness and guest experience
- Handling guest concerns and making good decisions under pressure
- Supporting staff and helping newer team members develop their skills
- Keeping the floor, bar and overall operation organized and running smoothly
- Communicating effectively with management and the rest of the team
- Jumping in wherever you’re needed—including serving and bartending
- Helping create the kind of environment where great people want to work

WHO WE’RE LOOKING FOR You’re probably a great fit if you:

- Have at least 2 years of serving experience
- Have at least 6 months of recent experience in a leadership role such as Supervisor,



Shift Leader or Floor Manager
- Are ProServe certified and have ProTect certification
- Are confident making decisions and taking responsibility for a shift
- Are dependable, organized and a self-starter
- Have high standards for cleanliness and presentation
- Are friendly, outgoing and genuinely enjoy working with people
- Are a team player who can also take charge when necessary
- Have open or reasonably flexible availability
- Are a night owl ready to work evenings and weekends (hoot hoot)

WHAT DOES THE SCHEDULE LOOK LIKE? This is a full-time position at 5 shifts per week, primarily evenings, although not every shift will be a close. We would prefer this position be Tuesday-Saturday (with Sunday

Mondays off), however an alternative schedule of Saturday-Wednesday (with

Thursdays/Fridays off) could be considered for the right person.

Typically, your week will include: 2 Supervisor shifts + 3 Serving shifts

And often, those roles overlap—you may be leading the shift while also working a small section or bartending (shift leading)
