The Opportunity

Calgary, AB • Contract • Hybrid An established organization in the critical infrastructure sector is seeking an experienced QA Lead to provide quality leadership across complex enterprise programs and multiple product streams. You’ll lead end-to-end testing, QA governance, defect management and release readiness while partnering with business, delivery and vendor teams to support Soft Launches, System Trials, Cutovers and Production Releases.

What You'll Do

- Lead end-to-end testing across multiple product streams and business processes.
- Develop and oversee program-level QA strategies, plans and testing schedules.
- Establish quality governance, testing standards, quality gates and deliverables.
- Coordinate SIT, E2E, UAT/BAT, SAT and Operational Readiness Testing activities.
- Lead testing for Soft Launches, System Trials, Cutovers and production releases.
- Validate business processes, system integrations and release objectives.
- Manage testing dependencies, risks, issues, environments and test data.
- Partner with Product Owners, Business Analysts, QA teams and stakeholders.
- Coordinate vendors and delivery teams to ensure testing commitments are met.
- Perform test validation, defect investigation and root cause analysis.
- Manage the full defect lifecycle, including triage and resolution tracking.
- Review test evidence and assess quality against release requirements.
- Provide go/no-go recommendations and support production readiness decisions.
- Deliver QA metrics, quality assessments and executive-level reporting.




- Drive continuous improvement across testing, governance and quality practices.

What We Are Looking For

- 15+ years of IT Quality Assurance experience in enterprise environments.
- 5+ years of program-level QA leadership experience.
- Experience leading testing across multiple product streams and complex systems.
- Strong experience with end-to-end business process and integration testing.
- Experience developing QA strategies, test plans and governance frameworks.
- Experience establishing quality gates, testing coverage and traceability.
- Experience leading SIT, E2E, UAT/BAT, SAT and ORT activities.
- Proven experience managing Soft Launches, Cutovers and Production Releases.
- Strong defect management, triage, escalation and root cause analysis skills.
- Experience managing cross-stream testing dependencies, risks and issues.
- Strong stakeholder management across business and technical teams.
- Experience partnering with Product Owners, Business Analysts and vendors.
- Robust quality reporting and executive communication capabilities.
- Ability to provide independent quality assessments and go/no-go guidance.
- Strong understanding of software delivery lifecycle and QA best practices.
