Sonny’s is looking for a skilled and motivated Raw Bar / Garde Manger Cook to join our opening team.

Our Raw Bar and Garde Manger stations work as one, so we’re looking for someone who is comfortable working with fresh fish, sushi, raw bar preparations, salads, and detailed plating. The ideal candidate has strong knife skills, takes pride in presentation, and understands the importance of organization, cleanliness, and consistency in a professional kitchen.

Responsibilities

- Professionally slice and portion fresh fish for raw bar and sushi preparations
- Prepare and plate sushi, raw bar items, salads, and garde manger dishes
- Execute dishes consistently and accurately during service
- Maintain excellent organization and cleanliness throughout the station
- Properly handle and store seafood and other perishable products
- Follow recipes, prep lists, portioning standards, and food-safety procedures
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen team during service
- Assist other stations when needed and contribute wherever the team needs support
- Maintain a positive, professional attitude in a fast-paced environment

What We’re Looking For




- Previous experience in a professional kitchen, preferably with raw bar, sushi, or garde manger experience
- Robust knife skills and confidence slicing fish
- Comfortable handling sushi and raw seafood
- Strong attention to detail and presentation
- Excellent organization and station cleanliness
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy service
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- A genuine team player who is willing to learn and work other stations
- Someone who takes pride in their work and wants to continue developing their skills

Compensation & Schedule
- $20.00–$22.00 per hour, based on experience
- Additional tipout
- Full-time or part-time hours available
- Open Wednesday through Saturday
