Transform lives as a Recreation Assistant with The Salvation Army, providing vital therapeutic services in Alberta. Collaborate with the Recreation Therapy Manager to enhance resident engagement and well-being. In this casual role, you will assist in developing and executing recreational programs for seniors under the guidance of the Recreation Therapy Manager.

You will play a key role in assessment, data collection, and maintaining therapy areas. Working with individuals with mental health conditions, your contributions will significantly impact the residents’ quality of life. Key Responsibilities:

- Assist in creating and implementing therapeutic recreation programs
- Compile monthly statistics and attend to resident records
- Support the therapeutic care plan and resident assessments




- Complete supply requisitions and maintain therapy equipment
- Transport residents using the program vehicle when needed Requirements:
- Post-secondary education in Recreation Therapy or related experience
- CPR and Standard First Aid certification required
- Clean Class 5 driver’s license with a clear abstract
- Transparent Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Check
