- Maintain farm machinery, equipment and buildings
- Manage overall operation of farm
- Monitor production progress
- Clean stables, barns, barnyards and pens
- Supervise, co-ordinate and schedule (and possibly review) activities of workers
- Supervise and oversee breeding and other livestock-related programs
- Monitor water lines, air flow and temperature in barns
- Monitor animal behaviour
- Conduct artificial insemination and spraying or shearing of livestock or disinfecting pens,
barns or poultry houses
