We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Hygienist to join our dynamic dental practice. Must be BC registered with BCCOHP. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and supporting the dental team in delivering high-quality services. As a Dental Hygienist, you’ll be an essential member of our clinical team, helping patients achieve and maintain optimal oral health through preventive care and personalized education.
Duties
- Perform comprehensive dental cleanings and preventive hygiene treatments.
- Assist dentists during examinations and procedures by preparing instruments and materials.
- Conduct periodontal assessments and assist in dental examinations.
- Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as required.
- Educate patients on oral health care, disease prevention, and home care techniques.
- Provide chairside assistance to ensure patient comfort and safety.
- Maintain accurate patient records using dental software such as Cleardent
- Manage appointment scheduling and coordinate patient flow efficiently.
- Ensure compliance with infection control protocols and maintain a clean working setting.
- Collaborate with the dental team to ensure exceptional patient care and experience.
Experience
- Previous experience in dental hygiene and assisting is preferred.
- Knowledge of orthodontics and pediatrics will be beneficial for this role.
- Understanding of medical terminology related to dentistry is essential.
- Experience with Cleardent or similar dental management software is desirable.
