They are accountable for ensuring licensing requirements are met in the classroom, including fire drills, health checks,

and incident reporting.

GOAL: FOSTERING EXPLORATION, PLAY, AND INQUIRY

RECEs plan and implement a curriculum that reflects children’s interests and developmental stages.

They use inquiry- and play-based learning approaches to encourage curiosity, problem-solving, and creativity. They provide safe, inclusive, and stimulating materials and create engaging environments both indoors and outdoors. RECEs adapt plans and schedules to meet the needs of children in their care.

GOAL: CONNECTIONS WITH FAMILY AND COMMUNITY

RECEs build strong, respectful partnerships with families.
