Country Roads Lodge is a small, welcoming residential care home in Summerland, BC, committed to providing compassionate, person-centred care in a supportive home-like environment.

We are currently seeking two Registered Health Care Aides (HCAs) to join our team:

- 1 Full-Time Position (10 hour shifts)
- 1 Part-Time Position (10 hour shifts)

About the Role As a Health Care Aide at Country Roads Lodge, you will provide hands-on support to residents while promoting their dignity, independence, safety, and quality of life.

Our residents have a variety of care needs, and we are particularly interested in candidates who have experience supporting individuals with acquired brain injuries, cognitive impairments, and/or individuals supported through CLBC.

Responsibilities include

- Supporting residents with mobility, transfers, positioning, bathing, dressing, and toileting
- Assisting with meals, hydration, and nutrition
- Supporting residents with cognitive and behavioural needs using a calm, respectful, person-centred approach
- Observing and reporting changes in residents' physical, cognitive, emotional, or behavioural condition
- Following individual care plans and established procedures
- Maintaining accurate documentation and communication with the care team
- Promoting resident independence, choice, dignity, and participation
- Working collaboratively with other members of the team
- Maintaining a safe, clean, and respectful workplace for residents

What We're Looking For The ideal candidate will be compassionate, dependable, patient, and comfortable working with residents who may have cognitive, behavioural, or physical needs.

Qualifications and experience:





- Current Registered Health Care Aide (HCA) certification recognized in British Columbia
- Previous experience in seniors care, community care, or a similar setting
- Experience with acquired brain injury and/or CLBC clients is preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
- Reliable attendance and a strong work ethic
- Ability to provide respectful, person-centred care
- Current First Aid/CPR certification is an asset
- Successful criminal record check required
