Kinesiologist – Active Rehabilitation

Metrotown Active Health is looking for an energetic, confident and patient-focused Kinesiologist to join our multidisciplinary clinic in Metrotown.

This position is ideal for a kinesiologist who enjoys working directly with patients, building therapeutic relationships, and helping people progress from injury toward confidence and independence.

The Role

You will work alongside our physiotherapists and other practitioners to provide individualized active rehabilitation programs for patients recovering from motor vehicle accidents, workplace injuries and other musculoskeletal conditions.

We aren't simply looking for someone who can prescribe exercises.

We want a kinesiologist who can connect with patients, motivate them, explain the purpose behind their rehabilitation, and create a clear progression that keeps patients engaged in their recovery.

You should be comfortable taking a patient from their initial assessment through a structured course of rehabilitation, adjusting the program as they improve and communicating with the rest of the clinical team when needed.

What You'll Do

- Provide one-on-one Active Rehabilitation and kinesiology sessions
- Assess movement, strength, mobility and functional limitations
- Develop individualized exercise and rehabilitation programs
- Progress exercises appropriately throughout the patient's recovery
- Educate patients about their rehabilitation goals and expected progression
- Help patients build confidence returning to work,



recreation and everyday activities
- Communicate with physiotherapists and other members of the treatment team
- Complete appropriate clinical documentation and insurer reporting
- Encourage continuity of care when additional rehabilitation is clinically appropriate
- Provide private kinesiology/active rehabilitation services where appropriate

Who We're Looking For You may be a good fit if you:
- Are a practicing or eligible Kinesiologist in British Columbia
- Are registered with, or eligible for registration with, BCAK
- Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Can confidently explain a rehabilitation plan and its purpose
- Enjoy inspiring and engaging patients throughout their recovery
- Take initiative rather than waiting to be told what needs to be done
- Communicate well with physiotherapists and other healthcare professionals
- Are reliable, organized and comfortable managing your own caseload
- Have experience with ICBC and/or WorkSafeBC Active Rehabilitation — an asset, but not required

About Metrotown Active Health

We are a busy multidisciplinary clinic located in Metrotown,



Burnaby, offering physiotherapy, registered massage therapy, kinesiology/active rehabilitation and other health services.

You'll be working within an established clinic with an existing patient base and physiotherapists who can refer appropriate patients directly into Active Rehab.

Our goal is to build a strong, collaborative rehabilitation program where physiotherapy and kinesiology work together rather than functioning as separate services.
