As a Registered Nurse, you will report to the Site Manager at the Three Hills Health Centre, you will work in a fast-paced workplace in Acute Care, Emergency and Labour & Delivery. This position will challenge your ability to balance varying patient acuity levels and priorities within a team environment. In this rural community you will serve a diverse patient population with a continual focus on the AHS Patient First and Our People strategies. You will participate and at times lead and coordinate the activities of the nursing team while contributing to the interprofessional health care team in the delivery of patient care services.

Centre has 21 Acute Care beds, a 24/7 Emergency Department and a 23 bed Long Term Care Unit.

Centre also has an attached Community Health Centre wing, inclusive of Public Health, Home Care, Mental Health and Rehabilitation services.

Hills is located in central Alberta, 102 km southeast of Red Deer, with a population of 3,200. Description

As a Registered Nurse (RN), you will provide a wide variety of nursing services to patients, families, communities and populations, while taking necessary steps to ensure their safety and well-being. In your role, you will utilize nursing processes, through critical thinking, problem solving and decision making,



as well as teach, counsel and advocate on behalf of patients and their families. You will play a leadership role in supporting an integrated and holistic approach to patient care, health promotion and maintenance. You will provide safe, quality patient and family centered care while reflecting the shared vision and values.

PLEASE NOTE: Provisional Permit holders will be paid $40.76 to $55.79 per hour. Upon obtaining a full practice permit, the rate of pay will be adjusted to the applicable Registered Nurse rate in accordance with UNA Article 25.02(b)(i) or (ii), as applicable.

Required Qualifications

Completion of an accredited nursing education program. Active or eligible for registration and practice permit with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA). Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider (BCLS-HCP) certification.
