Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Janitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring cleanliness and maintenance of our facilities, contributing to a secure and pleasant environment for all employees and visitors. We anticipate two 3-hour shifts a week to be on either Monday, Wednesday or Friday evenings. Occasionally there may be additional coverage required when another janitor needs time off. To begin shift starts at 5pm, but after probationary period (approx 3 months) we can discuss start time being 30 or 60 minutes later. Bus access is possible but a long walk from the closest bus stop. Also transit service is problematic in the winter to the warehouse.

Duties
Perform routine cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming floors.
Clean and sanitize restrooms, break rooms, offices, and other common areas.
Maintain cleanliness of desks, counters, windows, walls, and other surfaces throughout the facility.
Empty trash receptacles and dispose of waste properly.
Restock supplies in restrooms and kitchen areas as needed.
Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify areas needing attention or maintenance.




Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to management promptly.
Assist with special cleaning projects as required.

Other

For the right candidate there is the chance to also manage the cleaning of the warehouse floors with an autoscrubber (already in office). Entire warehouse is to be cleaned two times a month, but can be broken up one complete clean can be broken into 2 or 3 shifts on a given a week due to battery life and size of entire warehouse.

Skills
Experience in commercial cleaning is preferred but not required.
Strong attention to detail with a focus on maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
Knowledge of basic facilities maintenance practices is a plus.
Good time management skills to ensure tasks are completed efficiently.
Strong communication skills to interact effectively with staff and management.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour
