Job Title: Steward/ Dishwasher

Location: Paradox Hotels, Vancouver

Job Description

As the steward/dishwasher, you will be responsible for washing dishes, kitchen cleanliness and occasional food preparation tasks in accordance with the organization's specifications in the upcoming Paradox Hotel, for Karma Lounge, occasional events & Inn Room Dining. This position reports to the Executive Chef & Sous Chefs, essential job scope includes but is not limited to:

Responsibilities
Washing dishes, flatware, pots, pans, utensils & cutlery
Temperature checks & cleaning of the dishwashing machine
Maintaining sanitation standards in accordance with company policies & Secure Food Handling and local health protection standards
Maintain high levels of kitchen cleanliness and organization




Daily & weekly cleaning and maintenance to ensure a sanitary and safe work environment
Picking up of orders from shipping/receiving as needed
Gathering and collecting kitchen equipment for Banquet events as needed
Maintaining a respectful workplace in accordance with organizational policies and procedures
Other tasks and duties as assigned by the Executive Chef

Qualifications

· Previous stewarding experience in a similar setting

· Knowledge and understanding of chemicals used

· Ability to carry up to 50lbs on an occasional basis

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Job Type: Part time

Pay: $22.00-$25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 32.0 per week
