Job Summary

Within the scope of the general management principles of BekaertDeslee/ Les Tricots Maxime, the Covers Planner is responsible for: Coordinate and expedite the flow of work and materials within or between departments according to daily and weekly production schedules.

Responsibilities
Create and maintain production, work schedules, and prioritize job orders for production optimization.
Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation.
Complete status reports and data analysis to review and evaluate production progress, work in process, and raw material inventory and finished goods demand.
CTB analysis to ensure that all components are available when needed and explicit for production builds at any point in time.
Interact with shop floor management daily to resolve issues regarding manufacturing efficiencies or to provide additional information as requested from manufacturing, customer service and / or accounting.
Develop and achieve departmental and company goals and controls. Make suggestions for improvement in areas of cost reduction, processes, quality, and productivity.




Confer with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; inventory levels and solving production problems.
Create work orders (WO) for production according to our customer requirements.
Follow on WO’s completion closely with manufacturing and quality teams.
Monitor KPI’s for progress tracking.
Must be able to travel.

Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, supply chain management, engineering, or a related field OR equivalent experience and evidence of exceptional ability.
Understanding of MRP & ERP system and Microsoft Office products; strong computer skills.
Minimum of 2 years previous planning experience
Robust decision-making and critical thinking skills
French & English written & spoken
Advanced Excel
Knowledge on SAP is a plus
APICS certification is a plus
