Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fitter to join our agile team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong mechanical knowledge and the ability to read and interpret schematics. As a Welder/Fitter, you will be responsible for fabricating and welding components to create high-quality products. Your expertise in using various hand tools, cranes, and forklifts will be essential in ensuring effective production processes.
Responsibilities
Fabricate metal components according to specifications and blueprints.
Perform welding tasks using MIG, TIG, or stick welding techniques.
Utilize hand tools and machinery safely and effectively.
Operate cranes and forklifts for material handling as needed.
Conduct quality checks on completed work to ensure adherence to standards.
Read and interpret schematics to understand project requirements.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace while adhering to safety protocols.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines.
Qualifications
Proven experience as a Welder/Fitter or similar role.
Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to troubleshoot issues.
Proficiency in using calipers and other measuring tools.
Familiarity with various welding techniques and equipment.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations.
Ability to read and understand technical drawings and schematics.
Experience operating cranes and forklifts is preferred but not mandatory.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Hours: 6am to 4:40 pm 4 day work week with possible overtime as required
