Embedded Software Engineer, Infotainment BSP (C/C++, Linux)
Our client is an automotive leader building its next generation infotainment platform. They are looking for an experienced embedded software engineer to join the BSP team that owns the lower layers of the system. This group is responsible for the OS, kernel, drivers and core services that make the hardware work, including file systems, graphics, networking, USB and WiFi, along with critical services like startup sequence and camera. It is a hands on team that gets pulled into the toughest investigations and is involved in the full lifecycle of embedded software development.
Responsibilities
Develop C/C++ services for an automotive infotainment system
Investigate system and BSP failures raised by internal users and external customers
Contribute to system design, documentation and testing
Collaborate and coordinate with other engineering teams across the program
Take part in the full software development lifecycle, from architecture and design through coding, testing and deployment
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering or a similar scientific field
5+ years of experience working on operating systems, kernel, drivers and core services such as file systems, graphics, networking, USB and WiFi
Prior experience developing and testing drivers and BSP
Solid grasp of hardware design and embedded operating system concepts
Robust skills in C++, Python, Linux, embedded systems and embedded software
Experience with automation and scripting
Analytical mindset and a real interest in solving tough problems with little or no information
Familiarity with Agile development processes and tools
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
