Licensed 310T Mechanic

K. Joly Contracting is looking for a skilled and dependable Licensed 310T Mechanic to join our team in Ottawa.

This is primarily a shop-based position, with mobile service required when equipment or vehicles need repairs in the field, yard, or at a jobsite. The role supports our landscape, maintenance, and snow operations.

Responsibilities
Maintain and repair trucks, trailers, snow equipment, loaders, skid steers, mini excavators, and other machinery
Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, air, electrical, and engine issues
Complete preventive maintenance and safety inspections
Perform welding and minor fabrication work
Operate a mobile mechanic truck when required
Respond to urgent repairs, including overnight and weekend winter service
Maintain accurate repair records and parts usage
Coordinate with vendors, suppliers, operators, and management
Help implement and operate a DriveON facility for annual safety inspections
Keep the shop, tools, mobile truck, and work areas clean and organized
Follow all safety procedures while working in the shop, yard, and field

Qualifications
Valid 310T license
Valid G license required
AZ, DZ, or AR license is an asset
Strong knowledge of diesel engines, hydraulics, air systems, electrical systems, and mechanical repairs
Experience using diagnostic tools,



technical manuals, and schematics
Welding experience
Robust troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Reliable, organized, and detail-oriented
Able to work independently and communicate clearly with the team
Willing to work overnight, weekends, on-call shifts, and in all weather conditions when required
Comfortable performing both shop-based and mobile repairs
