At High Point Electric Ltd., our Service Technicians are the face of our company. They are expected to uphold our values while delivering consistent, qualified, and high-quality service to our clients. This agreement outlines the expectations, procedures, and responsibilities required of all Service Technicians to maintain operational excellence and ensure customer satisfaction.

This position is primarily based at UBC, with work on other project sites throughout the Vancouver area. The successful candidate must be available to work night shifts, including evening and overnight hours.

Responsibilities:
Attending all weekly service meetings in person or via Microsoft Teams
Responding to both scheduled and emergency service calls
Troubleshooting and performing repairs on electrical systems (120/208V to 347/600V)
Installing lighting systems, distribution equipment, and mechanical wiring
Executing small electrical projects from start to finish
Setting up and removing temporary generator systems
Performing walkthrough inspections at client facilities (e.g., Loblaw stores)
Conducting infrared (IR)



thermal scanning and submitting detailed reports
Adhering to documentation, safety, and vehicle maintenance protocols
Representing the company with professionalism and a high standard of customer service
Working a versatile schedule that may include night shifts or out-of-town travel based on customer requirements

Qualifications:
Journeyman Electrician certification
2+ years of service electrician experience
Experience with IR scanning and reporting
Proficient in MS Excel
Strong troubleshooting and electrical systems knowledge
Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints
Excellent problem-solving, organization, and planning skills
Solid communication, customer service, and teamwork abilities
Flexible to work occasional night shifts and varying environments
Valid driver's license with a clean driver's abstract

Pay: $38.00-$48.00 per hour

Experience:
Service Technician: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:
