Customer Service Representative (Front Desk / Inside Sales)

Position Overview

Uppal Building Supplies Ltd. is seeking a motivated and customer-focused Customer Service Representative to support our Head Office- Surrey. This hybrid role combines front desk responsibilities with inside sales support and proactive account development.

This is not a passive counter position. The successful candidate will be expected to provide exceptional service while actively supporting sales growth and strengthening contractor relationships.

Key Responsibilities
Greet and assist walk-in customers professionally and efficiently
Answer incoming phone calls and respond to customer inquiries
Process sales orders, invoices, returns, and payments accurately
Prepare detailed quotes and follow up on open opportunities
Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within orders
Support contractor accounts with pricing, product recommendations, and availability
Coordinate with yard staff for accurate and timely order fulfillment
Communicate with purchasing regarding stock levels and special orders




Assist outside sales representatives with order entry and account support
Maintain accurate customer records and activity tracking
Handle customer concerns and resolve issues promptly

Ability to perform under pressure during peak hours

Qualifications
2–3+ years of customer service or inside sales experience (building materials preferred)
Strong communication and problem-solving skills
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Proficient with computers and order-entry systems
Self-motivated and results-driven
