Garrick’s Head Pub is looking for a friendly, confident, and organized Host to join our team in downtown Victoria.
As the first point of contact for our guests, you’ll help manage the door, organize seating and waitlists, check guest IDs, and work closely with our service team to keep the restaurant running smoothly.
What we’re looking for:
Friday and Saturday availability from 4:00 PM–12:00 AM is required
Valid Serving It Right certification
Comfortable and confident checking guest IDs, Garrick’s Head Pub is a 19+ establishment
Friendly, qualified, and comfortable communicating with guests
Organized and able to manage guest flow during busy service
Dependable and able to work well as part of a team
Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is an asset, but not required
The role includes:
Greeting and seating guests
Managing reservations and waitlists
Checking identification at the door
Communicating table availability with servers and management
Answering guest questions and phone calls
Keeping the entrance and host area organized
Supporting the service team when needed

Availability: Friday & Saturday, 4:00 PM–12:00 AM required

Compensation: Hourly wage + tip pool
