Camp Hurontario, an overnight children's summer camp located on a beautiful island in the Georgian Bay, is looking to hire an enthusiatic Team Leader to help manage our Dining Hall Staff during the summer of 2027.

The camp’s Dining Hall Staff are a small team of high school and university students who are responsible for setting tables prior to meals, operating the dishwashing room during and after meals, decorating the hall for special events, managing evening snack, and cleaning the dining hall and dishwashing room. The Team Leader organises their duty rota and daily work schedule, delegates tasks, and generally ensures that the team remains punctual and thorough in their work. Additional to their dining hall duties, the team are also responsible for designing and creating fun props, costumes, posters and decor for the camp's special events (parties, skits, concerts, themed meals, etc.) using the camp's supply of craft materials.

Reporting to the camp's Office Manager, the Team Leader will be provided full training on dining hall operations and scheduling before assuming their leadership role.





Potential candidates bring the following to the position:
Prior experience leading small teams
Strong organisation skills
Strong attention to details, especially to cleanliness and hygeine
Teamwork and people skills

The following skills/experience would be an asset:
Prior experience working in food service (restaurants, cafes, catering, etc.)
Prior experience working as a dishwasher or cleaner
Creative/artistic skills in crafts or costume design
Familiarity with summer camps

As a seasonal, residential worker, the Team Leader is provided with full accomodations at the camp and all meals for the work term (beginning of June to end of August, 2027). Join our friendly co-ed staff of 85 to spend the summer making current friends and living in a beautiful outdoor setting.
