Position: Full time Caregiver
About the Position
We are seeking a caring, reliable, and Spanish-speaking caregiver to provide compassionate one-on-one care for a 9-year-old boy, Jacob, in the Kensington area of Saskatoon.
Jacob is non-verbal and requires extensive physical assistance with daily care. He is currently not attending school and is cared for primarily by his mother. We are looking for someone who is patient, attentive, and comfortable providing hands-on pediatric care.
Responsibilities
Provide attentive and compassionate care for Jacob throughout the day
Assist with diaper changes and personal hygiene
Provide comfort care and ensure Jacob's safety and well-being
Assist with positioning and other physical care needs
Engage Jacob in age-appropriate activities, including:
Crafts
Games
Interactive activities
Other stimulating and enjoyable activities
Help create a secure, supportive, and engaging workplace
Communicate regularly with Jacob's mother regarding his care and daily needs

Qualifications & Requirements
Fluent Spanish-speaking caregiver required




Previous experience caring for children, particularly children with complex care needs, is an asset
Comfortable providing hands-on personal care
Patient, compassionate, dependable, and attentive
Must be comfortable working with a non-verbal child who requires significant physical assistance
Valid driver's license and ability to drive required
Comfortable working in a home withone small dog
Must be reliable and able to commit to the scheduled hours

Required Documents (Mandatory for Consideration)

First Aid Training Certificate (must be valid / not expired)
Criminal Record Check (must be issued within the last 3 months)
Government-issued ID (National ID or Passport)
