Yellowknife Education District No. 1 and the Dettah District Education Authority invites applications for the position of:

Janitor

Kaw Tay Whee School in Dettah

Continuing position

Part-time (50% FTE)

4 Hour Shift - 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM

Minimum requirements for the position include a high school diploma.

Preference will be given to candidates who have:

- Previous janitorial/cleaning experience, related experience deemed acceptable by the Janitor Supervisor may also be considered
- Willingness to work in a multicultural setting around teachers, students, and the public
- Experience working in a school/commercial setting
- WHMIS training
- Basic computer skills
- Knowledge of proper floor care of resilient flooring and carpet, including stripping, waxing, buffing and steam cleaning
- Must have the physical ability to perform some laborious duties such as snow shovelling and heavy lifting
