As a Specialized Sales Associate in our Lumber & Building Materials department, you will play a key role in delivering expert advice and outstanding service to both DIY customers and professional contractors.This position is responsible for assisting customers in-store and over the phone by applying robust selling skills and product knowledge to recommend the right materials for every project. A passion for customer service and a willingness to continuously learn about our products are essential to success in this role.

Core Competencies
Availability to work days, evenings, and weekends
Basic knowledge of lumber, building materials, and tools
Robust listening, communication, and interpersonal skills
Customer service experience is considered an asset
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Ability to stand for extended periods of time

Key Responsibilities
Provide friendly, knowledgeable service to customers in-store and over the phone




Assist customers in selecting appropriate lumber and building materials for their projects
Build relationships with DIY customers, contractors, and account holders
Multi-task in a fast-paced environment, including answering calls and processing orders
Pick and prepare customer orders from the sales floor and warehouse
Support administrative functions such as order entry, organization, and invoicing for builder and contractor accounts
Maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked department

Job Type: Full time

Pay: $19.00-$21.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
