Job Overview

We are seeking a motivated and skilled Concrete Finisher to join our dynamic construction team for the 2027 season. In this role, you will be responsible for transforming raw concrete into smooth, durable surfaces that meet project specifications and quality standards. Your expertise will help bring architectural visions to life, ensuring every detail is precise and finished to perfection. This position offers an exciting prospect to work on diverse projects, from commercial buildings to residential developments, utilizing your technical skills and craftsmanship to make a lasting impact.

Anticipated start date: Spring 2027 (Actual start date is weather-dependent)

Duties

· Check formwork, granular base, and steel reinforcement materials and direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade

· Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement

· Operate power vibrators to compact concrete

· Set and adjust concrete forms to the required dimensions, levels, and grades

· Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification

· Impart the desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools

· Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces

· Waterproof,



damp proof and restore surfaces

· Repair, resurface, and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures

· Must participate and adhere to all safety rules and procedures

Job requirements:

Language: Basic English

Experience: 3 years of related experience

Work setting: Roads and bridges, Sidewalks and curbs, Residential, Commercial, Urban,

Types of materials used: Colours and sealers, Hardners and epoxies

Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Physically demanding, Handling heavy loads (Up to 23 kg/50 lbs), Bending, crouching, kneeling, Standing for extended periods, Attention to detail

Work Site Workplace: Outdoors, Noisy

Personal Suitability: Accurate, Team player, Dependability, Flexibility

Own tools/equipment: Steel-toed safety boots

Pay: $33.33-$37.00 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 60.0 per week
