Reporting to the Welding Foreman, the chosen candidate will be responsible for:
Assist journeyman welders and perform welding duties
Operate welding equipment and flame-cutting equipment
Operate drill presses and band saw
Prep and finish material and projects for manufacturing
Operate hoisting and lifting equipment
Prepare jigs and set-ups for welding
Troubleshoot production problems and take preventative or corrective action
Recommend changes to improve quality and reduce costs
General maintenance/clean-up of the shop and yard
Painting and finishing of products
Assembly of products




Operating the plasma cutting table
Operating the forklift to receive orders
Frequent deliveries/pick-ups

Requirements:
Registered as a 1st-year apprentice.
Able to commute reliably to and from work
Valid Class 5 driver's license
Forklift certification (is an asset)
Able to drive a truck with a trailer (is an asset)
Must provide your own steel toe boots
WHMIS and First Aid training (is an asset)

Shift: 10 hours/day, Monday to Thursday,
