We are currently recruiting experienced and reliable drivers with a Class 1A or 3A manual license to support our client's potato harvest in Kensington. This is a seasonal role slated to last the month of October, with some potential for extension.

The Harvest Driver will operate a range of equipment including dump trucks, straight trucks, tandem trailers, and live-bottom trailers, and must be willing to work a semi-versatile schedule based on weather conditions and harvest progress. If you're looking to be a part of one of the largest harvests on the Island, this position is for you.

THE JOB
Assist with the transportation of crops from the field to storage facilities, packing sheds, and other locations
Perform pre- and post-trip inspection of equipment, reporting maintenance concerns
Maintain accurate transportation and vehicle logs
Maintain a clean, secure, and organized work area
Follow all workplace safety policies and production procedures

REQUIREMENTS
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
Class 1A or 3A manual license with a clean driver's abstract
Mechanically-oriented, able to perform routine maintenance and identify equipment problems
Prior harvest experience an asset
CSA-approved steel-toed safety boots
