Schedule: 5 days per week, 6:00 AM – 3:00 PM
Pay: $25–$30/hour, depending on skill level

Job Overview

We are looking for an experienced Butcher to join our meat production facility in Mississauga.

This is a professional butcher position, not a meat cutter position. The ideal candidate must have solid hands-on experience with deboning and breaking down carcasses, particularly pork. Experience working with beef and veal is also an asset.

Responsibilities
Debone and break down animal carcasses.
Work primarily with pork, with some processing of beef and veal.
Process pork hams according to production requirements.
Cut the hock off the ham.
Use a skinner to remove the skin from hams.
Trim and separate ham elements.
Categorize meat trim into four categories:
Fat, Trim, Lean, Extra Lean
Maintain consistent cutting and trimming standards.
Ensure products meet quality requirements.
Maintain a clean and safe work area.
Follow food safety and workplace safety procedures.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced production environment.Qualifications & Skills
Previous qualified butcher experience is required.
Strong experience with deboning and breaking down carcasses.




Strong pork butchering experience is highly preferred.
Experience working with beef and veal is an asset.
Experience using a meat skinner is preferred.
Strong knife skills and professional butchering techniques.
Ability to accurately trim and categorize meat.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Reliable, energetic, and hardworking.
Comfortable working in a meat production environment.
Ability to start work at 6:00 AM.

Important Requirement

We are specifically looking for an experienced butcher with strong carcass breakdown and deboning skills. Candidates whose experience is primarily limited to meat cutting or portioning will not be suitable for this position.
