Job Summary

We are seeking a agile and dependable Float Driver to join our logistics team! In this versatile role, you will be responsible for loading and off loading various types of heavy equipment. You will be responsible to ensure proper load securement. Your expertise in commercial driving will be essential in maintaining operational efficiency and safety. As a Float Driver, you will serve as a flexible team member in order to deliver across Canada. This position offers an exciting opportunity to utilize your heavy equipment operation skills while contributing to a fast-paced, safety-conscious environment.

Duties
Safely operate heavy equipment to load, unload, and transport freight within the facility and between locations
Support automotive repair tasks when necessary, troubleshooting minor mechanical issues or assisting technicians
Coordinate with dispatch to ensure accurate delivery schedules and proper documentation of shipments
Maintain safety standards by adhering to all operational protocols and conducting regular safety checks on equipment

Qualifications
Proven experience operating, commercial trucks, or other heavy machinery in a logistics workplace




Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL)
Knowledge of freight handling procedures and safety regulations related to heavy equipment operation
Basic automotive repair skills with the ability to troubleshoot mechanical issues quickly
Robust communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team-oriented environment
Ability to perform physically demanding tasks including lifting heavy objects and standing for extended periods
Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and assist with various operational duties as needed

Pay: $33.00-$40.00 per hour
