Korea Trade-Investment Promotion Agency (KOTRA) is Korea’s governmental trade and foreign investment promotion agency. With 132 offices located in 86 countries around the world, KOTRA serves as a global platform for foreign buyers, investors and Korean entrepreneurs.

Our core services include export promotion, foreign direct investment (FDI) attraction, support Korean businesses expanding abroad, economic cooperation and talent mobility programs.

KOTRA operates 10 offices across North America, with the KOTRA Toronto serving the eastern Canadian region (provinces east of Manitoba). We are currently seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Intern to join our team.
Position Title: Intern
Conditions of Employment:
Employment Type: Full time, Temporary Internship
Work Arrangement: On-site, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Term: 2-months contract
Responsibilities and Duties:
Prepare documents and materials for the Smart Farming Online Roadshow
Conduct market research on the Canadian smart farm / agri-tech industry and prepare written reports
Research and identify potential Canadian buyers
Research participating Korean companies and their products




Support business communications between Korean companies and Canadian buyers (email, phone, online meetings) in English and Korean
Perform other duties as assigned by the management team
Qualifications and Requirements:
Must be legally eligible to work in Canada
Fluency in both English and Korean (written and verbal) is required
Bachelor's degree or diploma is required; a background in Smart Farming, Agriculture, Business, International Trade, or a related field is preferred
Prior experience in smart farming, business development, or international trade is an asset
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
Strong communication and time management skills, with the ability to meet deadlines
