Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and patient-focused individual to join our team as an Optometric Assistant. As an Optometric Assistant, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional patient care and ensuring the smooth operation of our optometry practice. Responsibilities:
Greet patients and provide excellent customer service
Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures
Schedule appointments and maintain the appointment calendar
Collect patient information and update electronic medical records
Perform preliminary tests, such as autorefraction, non-contact tonometry, and Optos retinal imaging
Prepare examination rooms for patient visits
Assist the optometrist during eye exams and procedures




Educate patients on contact lens insertion, removal, and care

Qualifications:
Previous experience in a medical office or front desk role preferred
Solid communication skills, both verbal and written
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients
Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
