Baker – Valley BakeryOverview

Valley Bakery is a traditional bakery established in 1957, with an experienced team of bakers, decorators, and sales staff.

We are looking for an experienced Baker to join our production team. The ideal candidate is comfortable working in a fast-paced bakery and has hands-on experience with bakery ingredients, equipment, doughs, and recipes.

Qualifications
Minimum 1 year of bakery or qualified kitchen experience
Experience working with bakery ingredients/materials is required
Experience with mixing recipes and piping is preferred
Comfortable using bakery equipment such as ovens, proofers, mixers, and sheeters
Knowledge of different types of doughs and fermentation/proofing
Experience making croissants, pastries, breads, or laminated doughs is a strong asset
Able to accurately follow recipes and production instructions
Positive attention to detail and teamwork skills
FoodSafe Level 1 or baking education is an asset

Duties
Prepare and bake breads, pastries, cookies, cakes,



and other bakery products
Mix and prepare doughs, batters, fillings, and other recipes
Operate ovens, proofers, mixers, sheeters, and other bakery equipment
Follow recipes and daily production schedules
Maintain consistent product quality and presentation
Keep the production area clean and organized
Assist with general bakery preparation and production as needed

Morning availability is required. Shifts may start as early as 5:00 AM.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00-$24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 32.0 – 40.0 per week
