Job Overview
The Service Writer is the primary liaison between customers and the service department. This position is responsible for greeting customers, understanding their service needs, preparing repair orders, coordinating with technicians, and ensuring high quality communication throughout the service process. The Service Writer plays a key role in delivering exceptional customer service, maintaining accurate documentation, and promoting productive work flow

Responsibilities
Greet customers professionally both in person and on the phone.
Listen to customer concerns and accurately document service requests.
Create detailed repair orders and assign work to technicians based on skill level and workload.
Communicate clearly with technicians regarding customer concerns and required services.
Provide customers with estimates for parts, labour, and additional repairs.
Obtain customer authorization before performing any additional work.
Keep customers informed about the status of their vehicle throughout the repair process.
Review completed repairs and explain the work performed to customers in an understandable manner.
Ensure all repair orders are closed with accurate labour, parts and technician notes.
Promote recommended maintenance in line with manufacturer guidelines.
Maintain a clean,



organized service desk and follow all company policies.
Support the service team in achieving the dealership goals for quality, productivity, and customer satisfaction.
Other tasks as assigned

Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent preferred; post-secondary automotive training an asset.
Valid driver’s licence for local travel, with a clean drivers abstract
Excellent communication skills, customer service, and interpersonal skills.
Strong organizational skills with the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced setting.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $20.00-$22.00 per hour
